Product Spotlight: Emerald Essence

Why we created Emerald Essence

The Standard American Diet leaves many nutritional gaps, but even if you eat a healthy diet you still may not be getting enough micronutrients and antioxidants. While you can't out-supplement a poor diet, superfood greens powders such as our Emerald Essence can fill in the gaps in any diet, enhance your nutrient profile, and provide a hefty amount of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants.

Nutrient Bioavailability

As a general rule, it is better to get micronutrients from whole foods than from synthetic or isolated vitamins because nutrients that are found together in whole food sources work in synergy. Most medicinal plants contain a curative compound, as well as nutrients that enhance absorption of those compounds. Also, micronutrients in whole foods are generally more bioavailable than any synthetic forms of those nutrients.

Natural Energy Boost

Forget those sugar-filled energy drinks and coffee! Emerald Essence can give you a great energy boost without all the sugar, caffeine and other unhealthy stimulants. This means no sugar or caffeine crash! Drinking your superfood supplement in the morning is a great way to get a quick, natural, lasting energy boost to start your day!

Types of Greens & Their Benefits

Grasses (Alfalfa, Wheat, Barley)

The traditional “green powders” are what most people think when they think of greens. Alfalfa, wheatgrass, and barley grass contain dietary fiber, thirteen essential amino acids, and over 70 different minerals.

Iron-rich Veggies

Besides supplying plenty of protein, phosphorus, and zinc, beets and spinach are packed with antioxidants, vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium, copper, and manganese. Beets and spinach are also both excellent sources of folate.

Marine Sources

Marine (water based) sources of greens include dulse, spirulina and chlorella. These types of green powders are very nutrient dense and contain amino acids, protein, minerals, and b-vitamins. Marine powders are available on their own, but they don’t taste great.

Try this delicious recipe to start your day off right!
